The Breathtaking Benefits Of Being Able To Play The Guitar
I remember, a long time ago, I saw a concert with Stevie Ray Vaughn, before he was really famous. He played in a gymnasium in San Diego. I was about three yards from the stage, close enough to watch his fingers flying across the neck of his guitar with surprising speed and accuracy. It was perhaps the most profound musical experience I've ever encountered.
Music in general has some kind of magical effect on the human soul. With music, you can express and feel emotions that you can't otherwise do with mere words. Being able to express yourself through music is truly a gift to both yourself, and anybody lucky enough to hear you.
Many people would like to learn the guitar, but for some reason, think that it will be to difficult, or take too much time. Many imagine years and years of practice without every being able to play a single song. This is sad, because the guitar is the most popular instrument for a reason. It is relatively easy to learn, and simple to play a few songs once you learn.
Of course, there is basically two kinds of guitar playing. You can strum chords, or you can play individual notes. While within each different category, there are plenty of sub categories, these are the two most basic. Strumming chords is likely the easiest to learn for most people.
One thing that many people find both surprising and helpful is that most popular music today consists of very few basic chords. You can easily learn to play these chords in a relatively short amount of time. Before you know it, you can play along with your favorite band.
If you've ever had even the slightest desire to learn to play the guitar, there has never been a better time than right now. There are plenty of fantastic, cheap, easy to follow courses out there that allow you to learn from the privacy of your own home. Isn't time you got started to make your dream a reality?

Do You Want To Learn Guitar Without Reading Music?
By Shay Rushden
Many people think about learning how to play an instrument. Some actually take the dive and try to learn. However, when they face the challenge of learning to sight read music, they give up because it is too difficult to grasp the concepts behind all of those abstract symbols. Luckily, it is possible to learn guitar without reading music and the same is true for many other instruments.
The great thing about the guitar is that it has its own form of written music called tablature. Tablature is much easier for many people to sight read and understand, especially since it does not involve the use of complex symbols.
Reading tablature, which is also called tab, is easy because all you have to do is teach yourself to understand what the numbers and lines represent. The horizontal lines you will see are used to represent each string, so each string has its own line. For instance, the top string on a guitar is represented by the bottom line in tab.
The numbers you see when reading tablature relate to the frets on the guitar, which makes it very easy to understand. You do not have to worry about reading odd looking symbols or note names. You just need to move your fingers to the correct fret, which is given to you right in the tablature.
Playing chords is very easy to do with tab. When you see several numbers in a single space within the tab, you are playing a chord. Some tab books may even put the name of the chord above the tab to let you know the name of the chord you are playing.
Chord charts are great for learning to play chords also. They are small pictures which show you the strings of the guitar and the exact placement of each finger that is necessary to form a chord.

Taylor Acoustic Guitars For Total Tonality
By Robert Eherman
If you happen to be an axe slinger, a finger picker, or a head cutter you know that a good piece of wood in your hands is the best thing in the world. And every good player likes to turn it down sometimes and offer up some unplugged bliss for a variety of reasons. If this describes you, consider Taylor acoustic guitars.
No matter what type of music you enjoy playing, know that an acoustical sound can only improve it. If only once in while, or during an extended bridge or a breakdown section, using it can create intensity and dynamism. These elements are what good music is all about, whether it is jazz, rock, blues, or something totally other.
So what are you looking for in one? Most players are concerned with one thing above all else. This one thing is tone, and Taylors have got some. Tone refers to how the guitar actually sounds, and when you are playing purely acoustically you cannot rely on electronics to fix up your sound. So when buying an acoustical instrument you want to have some serious sounds right up front.
Tone is a combination of wood, construction techniques, and you own two hands on the thing. Every player has their own unique tone, but a good guitar will bring out the best in anyone. Good wood is vital to the process, and this company uses nothing but the best. Along with the solid construction styles, these blades can do some serious cutting.
Once the basics are tended to, and sound good all on their own, then you can add some juice to the mix and electrify the whole process. Some acoustics are outfitted with pickups and jacks in order to amp it up some, and expand the tonal possibilities even further. To have a greater variety to choose from can only increase your virtuosity and potential.
But as far as good solid sound, you can do no better than Taylor acoustic guitars. Using the finest woods and serious craftsmanship, these boxes definitely offer some big bang for the buck. Check them out online or at the local guitar store, and let you ears do the deciding.
